Shade areas are slowly replacing the once sunny lawn and gardens. I know what you mean, shade and roses don't mix.
MarnieRoses and Lilacshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07121676379580186489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1641867746157798839.post-54660650989597974952008-07-08T07:05:00.000-05:002008-07-08T07:05:00.000-05:00Hi Tina. Beautiful rose pictures, thanks! I would love to see the whole bushes in the landscape too. I prefer the antique roses myself because of the easy care. If you are into old roses you should check out one of my favorite rose specialty stores, The Antique Rose Emporium. They have an online cataloge and roses that will work up north.

http://www.antiqueroseemporium.com/ADVENTURES IN NATUREhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01614184312484638113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1641867746157798839.post-43593386227864023422008-07-04T12:00:00.000-05:002008-07-04T12:00:00.000-05:00I loved seeing your roses--how gorgeous! Do you have purple martins where you are, and if you do, have you tried putting up a martin house? A former neighbor, a truly organic gardener, said the martins were the best way to control Japanese beetles. But onto happier subjects: I love your photographs, and it's nice to meet your dogs and cats.
