This is a SKYWATCH FRIDAY post. Click on the link to see some more beautiful skies.
Sunrise over a misty field in northern Illinois. I am truly blessed to wake up to this every morning.
Click the photo to enlarge.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and gets to enjoy a spectacular sunrise.
Oh, by the way, check out Cielo's site House in the Roses. She is hosting a window party Monday September 8. If you have a window you like, email Cielo a photo (before the 8th) and she will post it on her 'Window Party' page. While you are visiting her site, be sure to click the garden door link. She has the cutest little animals waiting to welcome you and a fabulous garden of the month to tour.

Beautiful! I love the way you have framed it!
I hear you Marnie! We are blessed to wake up to our own lovely view every morning!
Thanks for the reminder to be grateful. Today I am grateful that the sky is filled with gray clouds and rain!
Gail
Good morning Gail. Funny you should mention the frame. I have a blog about a free program that frames your photos. I'll post it next week.
I'm grateful for the rain too. Gustav came all the way up the Mississippi and gave us 2 1/2 inches in an all day slow shower. Perfect (except the temperature didn't even reach 58-degrees.)
Marnie
Gorgeous!!!!
Beautiful sunset image! Love it!
Cheers, Klaus
What a beautiful sunrise! Thanks for sharing it!
That orange color couldn't be more beautiful...
Great shot
I love that shot! Great job!
That's a beautiful view! And I love the frame.
What a wonderful sunrise photo today Marnie! You framed it just beautifully today. It's a piece of art unto itself!
I've had a couple comments on the frame I used. If anyone is interested, next week I'll post about the free program, where to get it, and what it can do for your photos.
Thanks for your comments.
Marnie
Marnie, What a beautiful picture. I've never been awake at sunrise, but I've always wanted to see it in person.
DP, I love your comment. I wish I could say that. I get up at 5 o'clock dark every morning. Things I never see in person: the nightly news, Jay Leno, TMZ, Craig Ferguson...
Marnie
Marnie, we do have lovely sunrises in Illinois. You captured this one beautifully. A free program...sure! Although no sunrise yesterday or today(at least that we could see), I am very grateful for the rain and the cool clouds. Hope your weekend is great too!
Beautiful sunrise photo.
I am so jealous--all we got from Gustov was a hot wind--or maybe that was all the political stuff heating up and blowing through...
;-)
Lovely. Please come, Mr. Rain!
We just got the best sunrise/sunsets here in the Midwest don't we. Mark Twain often spoke of them.
Something I have never seen before and I'm an avid birdwtcher, on my way home from Kalona, along the road was a flock of finches, must have been 40 or more. Was just hoping that when they flew up they would go the other way, cause there was a grain truck barreling up behind me...I slowed way down, probably ticked him off, but this isn't just his road!
A beautiful sight indeed.

How wonderful to awaken to such a beautiful view! I also love the frame and am anxious to hear more. Happy SWF and enjoy your weekend!
Beautiful scene, Marnie! I really must get up earlier and watch the sunrise. Of course, soon enough, the sun will be rising as late as I do:)
Saw your reply to Gail--the photo framing program sounds interesting. Glad you got some of this wonderful rain, too!
You are truly blessed to wake up to that sunrise each morning. I will check out Cielos blog soon.
Marnie, what a lovely, serene picture! I wish I woke up to that view every morning!
I know you don't want awards, but I did want to say that I do love your blog...Michelle

Hi Marnie... I see the link here, but I don't see a post with your lovely windows :(....
thanks for participating
cielo
That is a really lovely way to start a morning...
What a stunning photo Marnie. and beautiful view. I'm the opposite of you, up late into the night so I hardly ever see a sunrise. I can see I'm missing out.
Kathleen, I think sunsets are equally stunning;)
